The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Announces that the South African Government grants request for Nigeria designated Airline, air peace to commence commercial flight Johannesburg, South Africa.
The confirmation was granted in the process of ascertaining the level of implementation of the Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) between Nigeria and South Africa at the Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) of the 9th Session of the Nigeria/South Africa Bi-National Commission Summit in Pretoria, South Africa on Friday 27th September 2019.
Flashing back to the recent tragedy between Nigerian citizens and South Africans the president of South Africa has earlier tendered apology to Nigerian citizens over the incident which took many life of some Nigerians living there and also left many injured as well.
The proprietor of Air Peace Airlines, Allen Onyema has also confirmed that the airline would commence operation as soon as possible to promote air travel between Nigeria and South Africa.
This great acceptance and opportunity given to Nigerian air peace to commence operations to the South Africa to promote their travel and relationship between Nigeria and South Africa is a wonderful one, despite the recent tragedy between the two countries.
